Pupil Response Lie Detector

Abstract

The original idea of this project was to create a home lie detect application. This is of course very complicated platform, which will take long development period. Finally, our project concentrates in one of the eye physiological response which is the pupil diameter differences, as response to one's guilty knowledge his pupil diameter increases. Our application measured this change and based on GKT (guilty knowledge test) decides if subject was guilty or innocent.

The pupil diameter diagnose for this movie (change in percent).

 

Results

 

 

 

Conclusions

The project results show strong correlation between the pupil diameter and guilty knowledge.
Our application could be use (even as it is) as a part of a polygraph machine, or after some changes as a web cam lie detect application.
Another great force of this lie detect tool is in that it can be used on a person without his knowledge.
